At 75, ‘Days of Our Lives’ Star Deidre Hall Celebrates Motherhood Triumph After Overcoming Infertility

Deidre Hall is well-known for playing Dr. Marlena Evans on Days of Our Lives for over 40 years.

She’s considered one of the best TV actors ever and has received several awards for her role. Actress Frances Reid mentored Hall, and they were friends for 34 years until Reid’s death in 2010.

Hall received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2016, thanks to Reid’s guidance and her own skills. She also appeared on various TV shows and even had a surrogate child. The Hallmark Company picked her as a spokesperson for their card line.

In her personal life, Hall, now 75, has been married four times and faced challenges getting pregnant. After trying different methods, including IVF and surgery, she and Steve Sohmer opted for surrogacy.

Their two children, David and Tully Sohmer, were born with the help of a surrogate named Robin.

Hall openly shared her infertility struggles in a TV film in 1995. Despite difficult times during filming, she’s grateful for her two kids. She regularly posts pictures of them on Instagram.

Despite her multiple marriages, Hall doesn’t regret them and has no plans to marry again. In 2019, she expressed happiness with her life, health, family, and career. She’s thankful for everything and considers it the best time ever.
