The dog had just given birth to her puppies
Animals are often in need of help and it’s important for people to understand that they are vulnerable creatures who require assistance. This was the case in Omsk when a terrible downpour led to flooding in the area where a stray dog had given birth to her puppies.
Unable to save her babies, the mother-dog ran to people for help. A woman passing by the sewer pipe was afraid to take action, but another woman who regularly assisted homeless animals immediately stepped in to help.
She called upon a man passing by, who bravely jumped into the water to save the puppies. While seven puppies had been born, the man was able to save the lives of four of them. Without the intervention of these caring individuals, the puppies may not have survived.
The rescued dogs were taken in by a woman’s friend and given a safe and loving home. This heartwarming story is a reminder that we should always be willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, regardless of whether they are animals or humans.
