Itâs a bit sad to realize that the legends of our childhood are getting older and appearing less frequently in public. But every time they do make an appearance, itâs a celebration! We were recently thrilled to see Bruce Willis, and now, the handsome Jack Nicholson has made a rare public outing. Can you believe it? The 87-year-old actorâs last film was 15 years ago.
On Sunday, February 16th, the 87-year-old Nicholson made his public return at the SNL50: The Anniversary Special event. The actor was looking sharp, dressed in a black blazer, button-down shirt, sunglasses, and a New York Yankees beret.
Jack took the stage first and introduced the actor:
âLadies and gentlemen, Adam Sandler!â
The comedian couldnât hold back his emotions.
âLetâs hear it for Jack, baby! Jack did it today! Love you, brother!â Sandler said before performing an emotional song in honor of SNL.
Nicholson rarely appears in public these days. His last film was the poorly received How Do You Know in 2010, and after that, he stepped away from Hollywood. Rumors circulated that his memory had declined, making it difficult for him to learn lines. Despite being offered major roles, such as in The Judge with Robert Downey Jr., Doctor Sleep in 2019, and Ready Player One in 2018, Nicholson turned them all down.
By the way, not too long ago, Nicholson was spotted in a photo shared by his daughter Lorraine. The actorâs last public appearance before this was in 2023.
