Valentine’s Day is celebrated royally for the first time by Prince William and Princess Kate.

In what is thought to be a first for the pair, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated Valentine’s Day in public on Friday.

With a heart emoji as the caption, the couple posted a cute picture of Prince William kissing his wife.

The picture was taken from the Kensington Palace film that was published in September, in which Kate said that she had finished her chemotherapy.

William and Kate were seen playing with their kids on the Norfolk beach and in the woods in the film, which was taken by Will Warr on the Sandringham estate.

Additionally, the couple was seen holding hands on a picnic blanket in several infrequent PDAs, with the Princess resting her head on her husband’s shoulder.

As Kate chuckled, William was also spotted leaning in to kiss his wife on the neck. Watch below.

Following the Princess’ cancer diagnosis, which Kate announced in January was now in remission, the previous year has been “brutal” for the Waleses.

The Prince sent a proclamation of love for his wife on her 43rd birthday in January, demonstrating William and Kate’s increased public admiration for one another.

The father of three sent the following personal message on social media: “To the most amazing mother and wife. Over the past year, you have demonstrated incredible strength. I am really proud of you, as are George, Charlotte, and Louis. Catherine, happy birthday. You are loved by us. W.

When Kate first revealed she had cancer in March of last year, she called her husband a “great source of comfort and reassurance.”

Likewise, when William celebrated his 42nd birthday in June of last year, the Princess wrote: “Happy birthday, Papa! You are extremely loved by all of us! Cx,” next to an amusing family portrait showing William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis leaping over sand dunes.

This year marks the 14th anniversary of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage.

The couple started dating in the early 2000s while attending St Andrews University. On April 29, 2011, they were married in a broadcast ceremony at Westminster Abbey that was watched by millions of people worldwide.
