Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga Should Continue Working Together

At the 2025 Grammys, the two got back together onstage to sing a version of “California Dreamin’.”

Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga are fast taking the lead as our favorite musical combination.

The two celebrities gave a stunning onstage performance of “California Dreamin’” by The Mamas & the Papa at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.

Many of the night’s performances were inspired by the award show’s change to celebrate first responders and families who lost everything in the horrific wildfires that devastated Los Angeles earlier this month. Lady Gaga wore an ethereal white floral-print maxi dress with a nod to the 1970s for the event, while Mars looked dapper in a brown suit and cowboy hat.

Of course, Gaga and Mars have previously worked together. Since its initial release last year, their unexpected duet “Die With a Smile” has remained one of the biggest radio and streaming hits to date.

In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, Gaga talked about working with Mars and how she knew she had to record “Die With a Smile.”

She claimed that it was the song’s lyrics, which explored what we would do in the event that the world ended. I simply recall thinking that it was a song that everyone should hear. Sometimes you feel like you’re creating something that certain people will enjoy, and I write music all the time. On other occasions, however, you work on something and know it will resonate deeply with a wide range of individuals. I was aware of it immediately.
