Authorities conducted a wellness check on Britney Spears after fans raised concerns over a video of her dancing with knives. However, a source confirmed that Spears, 41, is âfine,â emphasizing that the situation was âoverblownâ and that she was simply expressing her freedom, as she often does.
Spears shared the video on Instagram on Monday, captioning it with, âI started playing in the kitchen with knives today.â She reassured her followers that the knives were not real and encouraged them not to worry.
Later, she posted again, explaining that she was inspired by Shakiraâs knife dance during her MTV Video Music Awards performance earlier that month.
Such dance videos are a regular feature on Spearsâ Instagram, as she has frequently shared clips of herself dancing alone at home. The Ventura County Sheriffâs Office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
In January, fans had also requested a wellness check on Spears, which she later addressed in a deleted social media post. She stated that while the police never entered her home, they quickly determined there was no issue and left. Spears expressed feeling âgaslit and bulliedâ by the mediaâs portrayal of the incident.
