WOW!😍👏Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” Achieves a New Milestone on the Billboard Chart!

Although Mariah Carey no longer needs the title of “Queen of Christmas,” Billboard is awarding it to her once again, as her iconic holiday hit has just broken another record!

Since its release in 1994, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has now topped the Hot 100 chart for three consecutive weeks, marking Mariah’s longest-running chart-topping song. This achievement brings its total weeks at No. 1 to 17 over the years.

Mariah celebrated the milestone by sharing a post from Billboard’s Instagram account, which featured the company’s announcement on Monday. Her caption read, “This is amazing!!!! This is something I will never, ever, ever take for granted. Merry early Christmas!!”

Previously, Mariah’s collaboration with Boyz II Men on “One Sweet Day” (1995) held the record for the longest time at No. 1. However, “All I Want” is now poised to potentially achieve even more success.

It’s possible the song could stay at No. 1 for another two weeks, given the season, which would tie it with the longest-running No. 1 song of all time. Currently, the record is held by “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey, both of which spent 19 weeks at the top.

Whether it stays at No. 1 or not, the fact that Mariah’s song is constantly played on the radio and streamed (you’ve probably heard it in the last few minutes) makes it likely that she could eventually secure the record.

And if not, there’s always next year, when “All I Want” will almost certainly be back at the top of the Hot 100 once again.
