Barbara Eden – Still Grieving at 90, Remembering Son Matthew

Barbara Eden, the actress who played Jeannie in “I Dream of Jeannie,” is now 90 years old! She still stays active despite her age and even battled COVID-19 with a mild case. She believes in staying active, having a good sense of humor, and staying positive.

Barbara is excited to return to work and has some projects lined up. She wrote a children’s book called “Barbara and the Djinn” and has plans to perform in a show next February with The Edwards Twins.

Before her iconic role as Jeannie, Barbara grew up in Arizona and later pursued a career in acting in Los Angeles. She appeared in various TV shows and movies before landing her big break in “I Dream of Jeannie.”

Barbara was married three times and had a son named Matthew. Sadly, Matthew battled drug addiction and passed away from a heroin overdose at the age of 35. Barbara continues to cherish his memory and speaks openly about him.

Despite the challenges she’s faced, Barbara remains positive and grateful for her life and career. She believes in staying active and finding joy in life, even as she celebrates her 90th birthday.
