At the Golden Globe Awards 2024 ceremony on Sunday, journalists asked the star why her 51-year-old spouse Ben Affleck appears sad in some photos. Lopez chuckled but responded unequivocally that everything is fine with him.
With Ben, everything is fine, you don’t need to worry about Ben. He’s happy! He’s here, he’s nominated for an award.
She also added that most likely, her husband simply didn’t notice the photographers and was just relaxing.
He’s like, “I’m chilling. They won’t catch my face.”
Lopez and Affleck rekindled their relationship in 2021 and got married in 2022, two decades after their first encounter. The couple attends almost every public event together, willingly posing for photographers on red carpets.
At the Golden Globes, Lopez supported her husband as Ben Affleck’s film “Air: The Big Leap” was nominated in two categories. Despite not winning any awards, Affleck and his film colleague Matt Damon appeared on stage to present the Best Director award to Christopher Nolan for “Oppenheimer.”
