When I was a kid, my family liked traditional Christmas music, so no Mariah Carey or Wham! for us. I have special memories of the classic Christmas songs that my parents enjoyed.
One of my favorites is “The Little Drummer Boy.” It’s an old song, supposedly written in 1941 by Katherine K. Davis, inspired by a Czech hymn. Many artists like Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash, and even Justin Bieber have covered it over the years.

In 2020, Carrie Underwood, a famous country singer, released a Christmas album. The standout track for me was her duet of “The Little Drummer Boy” with her 5-year-old son Isaiah. It was heartwarming to see them perform together, and Isaiah did a great job with the vocals.
If you’re curious, you can check out the music video of their performance below. It’s a sweet and memorable rendition of a classic song.
