A few days ago, the tragic death of 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado occurred before Taylor Swift’s concert in Rio de Janeiro. The singer invited the family and friends of the deceased to join her for a performance in São Paulo.
Taylor Swift performed a concert after the tragedy.
Machado, 23, suddenly lost consciousness before Swift’s show in Rio de Janeiro earlier this month and tragically passed away on November 17th. This happened due to cardiac arrest during intense heat with a temperature of 59.3 ºC. Show promoters prohibited fans from bringing food and water into the venue.
Therefore, Swift postponed her next show in Rio after the fan’s death, and organizers announced significant changes for the upcoming shows. The singer returned to Brazil, performing in São Paulo. Swift invited Machado’s family and friends, and they posed for photos together.
All of them met with Swift after the show and posed for pictures with the singer.
Swift shared a post expressing her sadness over Machado’s loss last week.

“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but with a broken heart, I say that today, before my show, we lost a fan. I can’t even convey to you how devastated I am. I have very little information, except that she was incredibly beautiful and too young,” Swift said.
Machado’s 53-year-old father told the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S.Paulo that he wants promoters to explain whether concertgoers were prohibited from bringing water to the show.
