Victoria’s Secret Models: Then and Now – A Journey of Transformation

Everyone knows that some of the most successful and iconic models have undoubtedly been part of the Victoria’s Secret brand – the one that became famous for its incredible shows and the most expensive lingerie sets in history. The majority of these girls became “angels” back in the 90s.

Adriana Lima

Adriana Lima started her collaboration with the Victoria’s Secret brand in 1999, and she remained an “angel” for the brand until 2018. Now, the model is venturing into a new category for herself, “plus-size,” as she gained a significant amount of weight after childbirth and has chosen not to return to her previous image.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell has hardly changed over the years on the runway. She remains the face of the lingerie brand even at 53. Additionally, she has become a mother, with her daughter carried by a surrogate mother.

Gigi Hadid

Like Naomi, Gigi Hadid is focused on motherhood – she has a daughter named Hai. The model quickly returned to the runway after giving birth, but her new life is overshadowed by her breakup with the father of her child, musician Zayn Malik.

Candice Swanepoel

Candice Swanepoel, a South African model of Dutch descent, quickly conquered the fashion industry and made it into the top 10 highest-paid models in the world. She was also recognized as the most expensive bikini model on social media.

Candice is also raising two children – two sons, Ariel and Anaka.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow, the first and only model with vitiligo, continues to conquer the runways and make her mark in history. She entered the fashion world thanks to the show “America’s Next Top Model” and joined Victoria’s Secret in 2018, four years after her debut. She is in no hurry to start a family and is simply enjoying life.

Emily Ratajkowski

Emily Ratajkowski became the face of the new Victoria’s Secret campaign in 2023. The brand was criticized for focusing on “non-traditional” models, so managers invited Ratajkowski, Bieber, Swanepoel, Campbell, and others to please fans. Emily is currently raising her son and looking for a new husband after divorcing her previous one due to his constant infidelity.

Heidi Klum

Heidi was with the brand from 1999 to 2010. She holds the record for the most appearances on the runway in a million-dollar Fantasy Bra – a total of three times. After leaving Victoria’s Secret, she launched her own lingerie line. The model has four children and a happy marriage to musician Tom Kaulitz.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra collaborated with the lingerie brand for many years and even became the first model of the Victoria’s Secret PINK line. Ironically, after ending her contract, the former “angel” found herself in swimwear design – she now has three swimwear brands. The 42-year-old model is also raising two children, a son named Noah and a daughter named Anja.

Miranda Kerr

Miranda was an “angel” for a relatively short time – only six years. During that time, she became the face of Victoria’s Secret campaigns. In 2013, the brand terminated its contract with Kerr, with some saying it was her own initiative and others citing the model’s difficult personality.

Nevertheless, Miranda found her path. She launched her own cosmetics line and is preparing to become a mother for the third time.

Gisele Bündchen

Her contract with Victoria’s Secret made the Brazilian star a sensation. She wore lingerie worth $15 million and became the world’s richest model. In 2015, Gisele retired from the runway and focused on developing her own clothing and swimwear brand.

In 2023, Bündchen separated from her husband, football player Tom Brady. After many years of marriage and two children, he decided to be with Irina Shayk.
